Monitoring Depok Prices In Manado, Wemendag Jery Sambuaga: Safe And Stable

MANADO - Deputy Minister of Trade, Jerry Sambuaga revealed, the availability and price of basic commodities (bapok) in Manado City, North Sulawesi, is safe and relatively stable.

This was conveyed after monitoring the availability and price of bapok after Eid Al-Fitr 2023 at Bahu Market, Manado City, North Sulawesi.

During the visit, Jerry was accompanied by the Mayor of Manado Andrei Angouw and the Head of the Manado City Industry and Trade Office, Hendrik Waroka.

"Apresiasi kepada Pemerintah Kota Manado bersama jajaran dan pemangku kepentingan lainnya yang telah berhasil menjaga ketersediaan pasokan dan stabilisasi harga bapok," ujarnya dalam keterangan resmi, Minggu, 30 April.

According to Jerry, the central government will maintain communication and coordinate with local governments so that bapok, especially Oilita in distributors, is in accordance with government regulations.

"Thus, traders can sell Oilita at a price of Rp. 14,000 per liter to the public," he said.

Jerry said., the government has issued a policy to increase the supply of Oilita nationally to 450,000 tons per month from the previous 300,000 tons per month.

"The Ministry of Trade will continue to monitor the availability and smooth supply of Oilita at the distributor and agent levels," he explained.

As for the development of the bapok price at Bahu Market, Manado City, including premium rice of Rp. 13,000 to 14,000 per kg, sugar of Rp. 15,000 per kg, bulk oil of Rp. 17,000 per liter, and cooking oil of premium packaging of Rp. 20,000 to Rp. 21,000 per liter.

Meanwhile, chicken eggs are Rp. 26,000 per kg, red cayenne pepper is Rp. 40,000 per kg, curly red chilies are Rp. 30,000 to Rp. 40,000 per kg, shallots Rp. 45,000 to Rp. 50,000 per kg, garlic is Rp. 40,000 per kg, and wheat flour is Rp. 13,500.
