Monitoring From The Minister Of Trade: The Closer The Eid The Prices Of Basic Materials Drop

JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan said the prices of basic commodities continued to decline. It is hoped that until Eid the prices of basic commodities will continue to decline. "The prices of bapok (principal needs) in Semarang City fell and thank God prices in Central Java were good and stable. Currently, we are monitoring that the approaching Eid al-Fitr, prices fell," said Zulkifli quoting Antara, Sunday, April 9. This statement was conveyed by the Minister of Trade after reviewing the prices and supply of basic necessities at the Peterongan Market, Semarang, Central Java. Based on observations on observations on Sunday, commodities that fell among others, red cayenne pepper to Rp30,000 per kilogram (KG) and chicken eggs Rp28,000 per KG. On the other hand, commodities that were monitored stable include medium rice of Rp10,000-12,000 per KG, Rp9,450 per KG Bulog rice and premium rice of Rp13,000 per KG. Sand grains Rp13,000-13,500 per KG, bulk oil Rp13,500 per KG, premium cooking oil Rp17,500-20,000. per KG, Minya Rp14,000 per KG, Rp14,000 per KG beef, Rp30,000 per KG, garlic Rp30,000-35,000 per KG, red onions Rp32,000-35,000 per KG, curly red chilies Rp30,000 per KG, and large red chilies Rp30,000 per KG. After reviewing the Peterongan Market, Semarang, the Trade Minister also reviewed the implementation of the low-cost market in the form of Ramadan bazaars at several points in Semarang City. The low-cost market was held in Semarang Semarang Semat District, Central Semarang District, and West Semarang District. The cheap market was held as a form of synergy with the Trade Ministry of Industry and Trade Office of Central Java Province as well as the Semarang City Trade Office. Zulkifli said that the low-cost market aims to help the community get basic needs with affordable prices.

"We present a cheap market today in the middle of settlements so that people can get bapok at wholesale prices. We hope that the community will be helped in preparing for Eid later," said Zulkifli.

In this cheap market, various basic necessities are sold, including Rp. 45,000 per five kilograms of Bulog rice, Minya Kita at a price of Rp. 13,500 per liter, Rp. 12,500/kilogram of sugar, and Rp. 25,000 chicken eggs per KG. In addition, there are also modern retailers and local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) who sell a number of other food items and dry food products to prepare for Eid.
