JAKARTA - The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno is targeting the economic impact of the 2023 Lebaran homecoming period to range from IDR 100 trillion - IDR 150 trillion and it is predicted that IDR 123.8 million will be the people who will be going home.

For this reason, he continued, his party will coordinate with regional apparatuses, stakeholders to ensure the maximum potential of tourists during the Eid holidays, including paying attention to aspects related to Cleanliness, Health, Safety and Environment Sustainability (CHSE) as well as safety and security.

Another thing to do, his party will also issue a letter of appeal for monitoring the Eid Al-Fitr 2023 to all tourism offices in the regions, to ensure the readiness of destinations and locations of tourist attractions to implement good safety and health protocols.

Furthermore, the Regional Government is also expected to form a task force involving cross-regional apparatus organizations (OPD) to oversee tourist attraction areas and tourism visitor activities.
