Get Permit From FAA, Starship Rocket Will Undergo Third Flight Test

JAKARTA - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has finally granted SpaceX flight permits. Now, the company owned by Elon Musk can conduct a third flight test for the Starship rocket.

This license was announced directly by the FAA on platform X, formerly known as Twitter. With this permit, the Super Heavy Starship and booster will launch on Thursday, March 14 at 19.00 WIB.

Some time ago, the FAA provided 63 improvements SpaceX had to take before the agency gave permission. This repair action was issued as Starship's second test flight ended in an explosion.

The licensing shows that SpaceX has completed all repair measures for Starship and Super Heavy. The FAA also stated that SpaceX had met all the requirements provided by the FAA.

"FAA has granted licensing authorization for the launch of all three SpaceX SpaceX Super Heavy Vehicles. The FAA has determined SpaceX meets all requirements for safety, environment, policy and financial responsibility," the FAA said through its official social media.

Some time ago, SpaceX said that Starship would use a new launch track to try out the latest techniques. In addition to its new trajectory, the rocket is targeted to land in the Indian Ocean.

"This new flight path allows us to try new techniques such as combustion engines in space while maximizing public safety," SpaceX said on the company's blog some time ago.

SpaceX said that the third Starship launch test was the result of learning from the launch of the first and second Starships. This third launch is expected to bring success in the second phase of burning or climbing.
