Verified Twitter users finally get paid for their posts online. There is even one popular profile claiming to have earned more than US$100,000 (Rp1.5 billion).
Elon Musk's platform will 'help people make a live life on Twitter' after announcing plans to start the monetization feature some time ago.
This scheme is only available to well-known Twitter Blue subscribers, because content creators must prove that they have received at least five million views on posts in the last three months. The show is the total number of times a tweet has been viewed, and funds to support those eligible will come from Twitter's ad revenue.
This comes just a week after Meta's competitor, managed by Mark Zuckerberg, released a similar platform called Threads, which has since attracted more than 100 million new registrations.
"We are expanding our creator's monetization offer to include ad revenue sharing for creators," Twitter wrote in its tweet. "This means that creators can get a share of advertising revenue, starting from replies to their posts. This is part of our efforts to help people make a live life directly on Twitter.

"We will roll out this program more broadly by the end of this month and all eligible creators will be able to sign up," Twitter explained.
Although payment schemes will expand more widely by the end of this month, some influencers have received news of the funds they will receive.
Kartonis Shibetoshi Nakamoto shared a post claiming that he had made US$37,050 (Rp555 million) which would be transferred to his account within the next 72 hours.
Others, such as author Ashley St. Clair and podcaster Benny Johnson, appear to have made 7,153 US dollars (107 million) and 9,546 US dollars (Rp143 million, respectively.
A person who described himself as a self-study brain surgeon and even claimed to have generated 107,247 US dollars (Rp1.6 billion) on his account with only more than 17,000 followers.
At the moment, it's not clear exactly how this payment was calculated, but MailOnline has been in contact with Twitter for more information.

This new payment scheme from Twitter comes less than a week after Mark Zuckerberg released its rival blog app, 'Threads'.
Meta's launch only escalated tensions between these two tech giants, as Musk now accuses Zuckerberg of using his own trade secrets.
