JAKARTA - Microsoft began shipping Windows Copilot powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in trials for Windows, which will launch a controlled feature.
Windows Copilot itself is a feature that integrates AI power into Microsoft's desktop operating system. The first preview is available on Windows 11 Insider build 23493 for Dev Channel testers.
This first preview focuses on our integrated UI experience, with additional functionality coming in the upcoming preview, the Windows Insider team said in a statement.
To enable it, Windows Copilot will require a version 115.0.1901.150 or higher version of Microsoft Edge (Stable channel still in version 114), and an AI assistant who supports logging in with a personal Microsoft account or Azure AD account.
If you want to try this feature, users can run Windows Copilot Preview by pressing Win + C or clicking on the appropriate icon in the taskbar.
The AI assistant will exit the right side of the screen, where users can directly interact without blurring existing windows and applications.
In this first preview, Windows Copilot can be used to access chatbot Bing, enable dark mode, take screenshots, turn on or off modes, and more.

Users may also see recommendations in a row or ads that Microsoft deems relevant to them. Since Windows Copilot is the launch of a controlled feature, users may not get direct access after installing the latest build.
To that end, Microsoft promised to immediately expand its launch and provide the necessary policies so that IT admins can manage experiences within their organization, as quoted by Thurott, Friday, June 30.
We will have more to come including extending the preview to more Windows Insiders on other channels over time and adding policies to allow IT admins to manage this experience in their organization," said the Windows Insider team.
The English, Chinese, Japanese, Arabic, and French versions are automatically generated by the AI. So there may still be inaccuracies in translating, please always see Indonesian as our main language. (system supported by DigitalSiber.id)
