JAKARTA - The online game streaming service platform Steam has launched several updates and added features to Steam on desktop for all users to try.

"This update includes all the new Steam Desktop features that have been tested and refined in the beta branch," Steam wrote in an announcement quoted Thursday, June 15.

First, Steam changed the way they shared the code on Steam Desktop Client, Big Picture mode, and Steam Deck. This change also means the faster implementation and repetition of new features.

Another update is visual improvement and usefulness, by updating dialogue, menu, font, and color. This new color can be seen in the main Steam Header and footer tabs, Settings, and Screenshot Managers are just a few examples of places with updated UI.

Not to forget, Steam also overhauled the total overlay in the game. Where, this new overlay has a new user interface, adding new utilities and allowing for more customization.

You can also find a new tool bar, which can give you access to anything you might need in the middle of the game, such as friend chats, achievement progress, guidance, discussions, browsers, and more.

"We have also added the ability to embed the window from the overlay, so that the window can appear at the top of the game, while in the game," said Steam further.

Steam said that the rate of the window's opacity could be adjusted, and only window content would be embedded, excluding the title bar and other foreign UIs.
