Who Is Suitable To Replace Carlo Ancelotti At Real Madrid? This Is The Candidate List

JAKARTA - Carlo Ancelotti will certainly leave Real Madrid next season. The Italian has received a proposal from the Brazilian national team.

Several names have been included in the stock exchange for Ancelotti's replacement candidates. Starting from Zinedine Zidane, Xabi Alonso, to Raul Gonzalez.

Interestingly, the three of them are figures who have played for Real Madrid as players.

If Zidane is elected, the French coach will return to deal with Los Blancos for the third time from 2016 to 2018 and 2019 to 2021.

Zidane in his first term was able to bring Los Blancos to three Champions League titles in a row. Then in his second term Zidane only ran two seasons before deciding to resign.

Since 2021 until now, Zidane is still unemployed and is reportedly looking to return to handling the team soon.

Although Zidane's relationship with Real Madrid is going well, negotiations are expected to be tough. Because Zidane is still eyeing the French national team's coaching chair, as reported by Antara.

Apart from Zidane, Real Madrid has also monitored Xabi Alonso, who is currently the coach of German club Bayern Leverkusen since October 2022 when the club is in the Bundesliga relegation zone.

In his first season Xabi was able to ride Leverkusen out of the relegation zone and finish in sixth place in the Bundesliga. In addition, the Spaniard brought Leverkusen forward to the Europa League semifinals.

Another candidate is Raul Gonzalez, who has currently coached Real Madrid Castilla since 2019. Together with Real Madrid Castillo, Raul, who has earned the nickname Pangeran Bernabeu, has made a number of achievements, including bringing Real Madrid Castilla to the 2019/2020 UEFA Youth League title.
