JAKARTA A Ghanaian citizen with the initials KUV who went berserk in the Kalibata City Apartment area, Pancoran, South Jakarta, will be handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.

Head of the Intelligence and Immigration Enforcement Division of the South Jakarta Immigration Office, Prihatno Juniardi, said that the perpetrators would be subject to sanctions in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

"We hold him accountable for his actions. The foreigner will be dealt with according to the applicable provisions and laws," Prihatno said in his statement, Wednesday (23/4).

The series of acts of violence by the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, explained that the perpetrator's actions began with the persecution of a paintman with the initials AR. The victim was hit in the neck and ear.

It did not stop there, the perpetrator then damaged the corridor lights in one of the apartment units. He also again abused another resident, with the initials AM, by hitting him with a synthetic lamp.

"Out of fear, victim AM fled to the lobby to report to the apartment security officers," explained Ade Ary.

After some time, KUV threw a small table from his apartment unit (G.20 CC) and hit a Honda CR-V with police number B 1780 JFE. As a result, the car's right rearview mirror was damaged.

Had A Child Hostage And Went Raging In A Supermarket

The situation became even more tense when the perpetrator got out of the apartment unit while carrying a knife and took his four-year-old biological child hostage. He then got out of the car and stopped at the mall entrance.

"To prevent unwanted things, the Pancoran Police, assisted by the apartment security team, immediately moved to secure the situation. However, the perpetrators were not cooperative and fled to the Farmers Market area," said Ade Ary.

Inside the supermarket, the perpetrators went berserk and damaged various items.

Finally, the police together with security officers managed to secure the perpetrator and rescue the child who was held hostage at around 20.00 WIB.

Based on information from his wife, with the initials D, it is known that the perpetrator was drunk due to consuming alcoholic beverages.
