Plt Ketum PPP Tetap Yakin Ganjar-Mahfud MD Menang Satu Round Meski Elektabilitas Merosot

JAKARTA - Acting Chairperson of the United Development Party (PPP) M. Mardiono remains confident that pair number three Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD will win one round. This belief did not subside even though a number of survey institutions electability of the pair was overtaken by pair number one, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin.

"We are still confident, we are sure, it was concluded that we are with the people, we will win one round," Mardiono told reporters at the High End building, Kebon Sirih, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 22.

Mardiono even said that the Ganjar-Mahfud MD National Winning Team (TPN) did not discuss the electability. This is because the internal survey of Ganjar-Mahfud pairs has not decreased.

"We didn't go down. We didn't go down at our survey agency, Mr. Ganjar didn't go down," he said.

"There is no decline, we are sure yes, we have nominated. We have to be sure, 100 percent," continued Mardiono.

Similarly, the Chairman of TPN Ganjar-Mahfud, Arsjad Rasjid, did not bother with the survey results of a number of institutions that stated that the electability of candidate pair number three was overtaken by the pair Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or AMIN. He also agrees with a different internal survey.

Even so, Arsjad said his team would not be happy. He said the strategy they used would also see the results of the outside survey.

"Although internally we see it differently. But, from there that is part of which we will use it as our strategy," said Arsjad at the same location.

As previously reported, the survey results from the Indonesia Political Opinion (IPO) revealed that AMIN's electability has now overtaken Ganjar-Mahfud. It was stated that the pair most chosen by respondents were Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka with 36.2 percent; Anies Baswedan-Cak Imin 34.1 percent; and Ganjar-Mahfud 27.1 percent.

Meanwhile, if they are not paired, Prabowo gets the highest electability of 37.5 percent. While in the next position occupied by Anies is 32.7 percent and Ganjar is at the lowest, namely 28.3 percent.

The IPO took samples from 1,400 respondents using the multistage random sampling method and a margin of error of approximately 2.50 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent. This survey was submitted to the public on Monday, November 20 yesterday.
