HSS Police Reveals Cross Regency Methamphetamine Narcotics Network In South Kalimantan

The Hulu Sungai Selatan (HSS) Police managed to uncover a network of narcotics dealers of methamphetamine across districts, with a total of five perpetrators, starting with the arrest of the perpetrator HR (36), a resident of Rantau Kiwa Village, North Tapin District, Tapin Regency, South Kalimantan.

"Based on the confession of the HR perpetrator, he received methamphetamine from the perpetrators of HRA (43), a resident of Keramat Village, South Amuntai District, Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU), followed up by our officers by immediately arresting HRA," said Head of Public Relations of the HSS Police Ipda Ardiansyah Machzar representing the HSS Police Chief AKBP Leo Martin Pasaribu quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, July 27.

Ardi explained that members of the Narcotics Unit who were backed up by members of the HSS Police Criminal Investigation Unit, last Monday at around 23.30 WITA managed to secure the HRA perpetrators, and an examination was carried out at the house where they lived to find evidence.

Members managed to find evidence of eight packages of methamphetamine, placed by the perpetrator in a room in his house, and admitted that the perpetrator of the evidence belonged to him to be circulated again.

In addition, the HRA perpetrator also admitted that the evidence that was secured from the HR perpetrators who had been arrested earlier was also true to him.

"After the interrogation of the officers, we again revealed the narrative of the HRA perpetrators, if the evidence of eight packages that were secured from him was obtained from someone, it was later discovered that the person was the perpetrator MAH (33), a resident of Sungai Malang Village, HSU," he said.

Quick steps were taken by members of the Narcotics Unit and the HSS Criminal Investigation Unit, Tuesday (25/7) at around 00.30 WITA, on Jalan Negara Dipa, Sungai Malang Village, Central Amuntai District, HSS secured MAH perpetrators.

It did not stop there, the police officers continued to investigate the house where MAH lived, and found evidence of a package of methamphetamine.

The perpetrator MAH admitted that he had ownership of the evidence as his which would be circulated again, as well as confirming the evidence previously secured from the perpetrator HRA that it really came from him.

"In addition, members of the Narcotics Unit also arrested the perpetrators YU (32) and the perpetrator TN (34) who were both residents of the Malang River, HSU, because they were also involved in the narcotics network," he explained.

He added that the five perpetrators from the perpetrators of HR, HRA, MAH, YU and TN as well as evidence of narcotics crimes have been secured to the HSS Police Headquarters for further investigation.
