Arrested In 1 Car, 3 Members Of The Sabu Dealer Syndicate In Central Kalimantan Were Taken By BNN

The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) arrested three members of a shabu-shabu syndicate between districts/cities in Central Kalimantan (Central Kalimantan). From the arrest, evidence of 250.81 grams of crystal methamphetamine was secured.

Head of Central Kalimantan BNNP Eradication Kombes Pol Agustiyanto said the three suspects were involved in a syndicate of methamphetamine dealers from the City of Sampit, East Kotawaringin Regency and Gunung Mas Regency.

"The three drug syndicates have the initials RM and SG, while the other is a woman with the initials MW who has also been named a suspect in the case," he said during a press conference in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Tuesday, July 25, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the disclosure began with public reports regarding narcotics transactions in the Sampit City area.

After receiving the report, the Central Kalimantan Provincial BNN immediately moved and received information that the perpetrators were using four-wheeled vehicles.

"When they got the characteristics of the suspects' vehicles, the team conducted surveillance on the suspects, but the BNNP members were confused, because the suspects quite often stopped from Sampit City to Palangka Raya City," he said.

While on the edge of Trans Kalimantan Km 16, the team that had confirmed the whereabouts of the perpetrator immediately arrested him.

At that time, Thursday, July 6, a team from the Central Kalimantan Province BNN immediately searched the three perpetrators who were in one car.

"When a search was carried out, BNNP members managed to secure three clear plastic bags of methamphetamine weighing 250.81 grams," he said.

From the hands of the perpetrators, the Central Kalimantan Province BNN team confiscated 4 cellphones, 1 watch, 1 black plastic sheet, blue plastic ball, one bong, one match and one four-wheeled vehicle.

"From the information from the perpetrators of the methamphetamine, they got it from Pontianak City, West Kalimantan and circulated it in Central Kalimantan," he said.

After conducting the examination, the Central Kalimantan Provincial BNN ensnared the three suspects under Article 114 (2) in conjunction with Article 132 (1) Sub-Article 112 (2) in conjunction with Article 132 (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics.

Agustiyanto admitted that 250.81 grams of crystal methamphetamine which was used as evidence had been destroyed by dissolving it in water and mixed with floor cleaning liquids.

The destruction was also witnessed by representatives from the Central Kalimantan Police Directorate, the High Prosecutor's Office, the Palangka Raya District Court and the Palangka Raya BNNK.
