The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police arrested two perpetrators of theft from South Sumatra who carried out the action by breaking the victim's car window.

said the two perpetrators had the initials EW (28), and FI (35).

"From the results of the examination, it was revealed that these two perpetrators committed crimes in 2022 in two different locations. First in Mataram, second in Central Lombok," Teddy said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 24.

The two locations are in front of the CV Fortuna office, Jalan KH. Wahid Hasyim, Praya District, Central Lombok Regency, and on Jalan AA. Gede Ngurah, Cakranegara District, Mataram City.

"From two locations, the two perpetrators took Rp230 million. The money was taken in the victim's car after breaking the car door glass," he said.

Teddy revealed that the two perpetrators carried out the action by following the victim who had just finished taking money from the bank. When the victim's vehicle stopped somewhere, the two perpetrators launched their action.

"He broke this car window using a hard object," he said.

The way the perpetrator broke the car window was by throwing a hard object made of sparked vehicle sparks.

From the results of the examination, it was revealed that the two perpetrators did not only act in NTB. But both of them have carried out similar actions in Bali.

"So this perpetrator is a cross-provincial thief. Those in Bali, they have acted twice. There they get Rp130 million," he said.

Teddy explained that the roles of the two perpetrators were revealed from the results of the investigation by the NTB Police Crime and Violence Team (Jatanras).

From the results of the investigation, the two perpetrators who were in boarding house in Gerung area, West Lombok Regency were arrested.

When the Jatanras team made arrests at the end of last week, he explained, the two perpetrators had given resistance.

"We are worried that with the resistance of the two perpetrators, our members will take decisive and measured steps by giving hot lead shots at the feet," he said.

"Now both of them have been detained at the NTB Police Detention Center," added Teddy.
