Bandung City Government Beautifies Braga Street

BANDUNG - The Bandung City Government, West Java, has beautified the Braga Street area, starting from sidewalks, trees, bollards, to parking lots, which aims to increase the comfort of visitors who come to Braga.

Acting Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna, said that the order of Jalan Braga still needs to be addressed, especially in the maintenance aspect.

"Like sidewalks, the condition is not maintained, there are several ornaments that are damaged. Then many trees grow to prevent pedestrians and drivers," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 21.

Ema also asked that the twisted tree be replaced with a new young tree, after which the plant trellis or gridtree was installed to make it grow straight.

"Within two days it must be completed. The soil pores are maintained so that plants can still breathe. Because this Braga Street is the image and pride of the city of Bandung," he said.

Ema also asked that dolphins, bollards, flower pots, and trees should be placed spaced so that city aesthetics are maintained, there must also be recommendations from experts such as city architecture.

Then, he instructed the lampposts to be repainted and to function normally, the chairs also use iron barriers so as not to be used for gepeng sleep.

"All regional apparatus organizations (OPD) must unite. The Environment and Hygiene Service (DLHK) must also provide a more appropriate trash can. There are three colors used for organic, inorganic, residual waste. The distance is 20-25 meters. In the future, Jalan Braga will also be directed not to park," he said.

In addition, Ema also wants the Trans Metro Bandung (TMB) shelter to be revitalized, because the design of the building and its function are not appropriate, it is planned that 47 shelters will be dismantled.

"So that this city can be orderly and orderly, sidewalks can be used by pedestrians rather than using shelters that are not as clear as they are now," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of the Bandung City Water Resources and Highways (DSDABM) Dina Ruswandi said the bollard-bolard was being worked on by UPT Cibeunying.

"The tree plant on Jalan Braga will be handled by the Housing and Settlement Area Office (DPKP3) of Bandung City. We will help to build a dry garden under the tree. We will provide the gabions there. Or the pattern of the second option is with bricks and grass like on Jalan Kepatihan," said Didi.
