JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that handling a series of cases involving Panji Gumilang requires accuracy, not speed. This statement also responded to the assumption that the process of handling the case led by the Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School was slow. "Yes, I think this is not a long talk or a slow one, but complements the evidence for filing purposes. So that the case can be declared complete, it requires accuracy, not a speed problem," Sigit told reporters, Friday, July 21. In fact, Sigit denied that when asked about the lack of evidence in handling the Panji Gumilang case. He emphasized that in handling a case, investigators must complete all the alleged evidence. Moreover, not only one criminal element was allegedly committed by Panji Gumilang. So, it takes accuracy to fulfill it. "There are no shortcomings, we have to complete them, complete them, there are several articles that have been submitted, there are blasphemy, there are embezzlement, there are cases of foundations and so on," said Sigit. Meanwhile, Panji Gumilang is suspected of violating several elements of a criminal act. First, the leader of the Islamic Boarding School is considered to have blasphemed Islam. Then, Panji Gumilang was also suspected of spreading information that caused hatred or hostility between individuals and groups. Not only that, Bareskrim Polri also suspects that Panji Gumilang was involved in a financial management violation of Al Zaytun Islamic Boarding School. In fact, the results of coordination with the analysis team of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) and several experts in Money Laundering (TPPU), Panji Gumilang, are strongly suspected of committing four criminal elements.

"There are allegations of abuse that indicate criminal acts related to foundations, criminal acts of embezzlement, criminal acts of corruption in BOS funds, to criminal acts related to abuse in zakat management by PG," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan.
