ACEH - The North Aceh Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) arrested the perpetrators of the crime of trafficking in persons or exploitation of minors to serve mashers. Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the North Aceh Police, AKP Agus Riwayanto Diputra, said that the case of exploitation of children that had occurred since December 2022-April 2023 was revealed based on public complaints and the results of investigations by police officers. "In this case, officers arrested five suspects and one of them was a minor as a place provider," he said in Lhoksukon as quoted by Antara, Wednesday, July 19. The five suspects are RL (32) as pimps, IK (17) place providers, and AN (26), FR (29) and MZ (49) as victim service users. Agus explained that suspect RL as a pimp had exploited the victim by offering it to the suspects, then communicating with IK to provide a place. “ From the results of the investigation it can be seen that every time you have sex, the victim is given Rp200 thousand to Rp600 thousand. Then the victim gives money to the provider of the place of Rp50 thousand,” he said. Agus said the location for the place where the perpetrator and the victim had sexual intercourse was in a public toilet which was used as a room in the Lhoksukon Terminal area. "From the victim's statement, it was known that there were eight other perpetrators who used the services of the victim who are no longer living in Lhoksukon and are still being chased," he said. According to Agus, the case was revealed after officers conducted an investigation into a exploit victim. Then, the team immediately informed the victim's biological mother.

“ So far, the victim's mother only knows that her child works in a cafe. Feeling cheated by his son, his mother immediately reported the incident to the North Aceh Police. In addition, because the victim is still a minor, the police only determines his status as a victim,” he said.
