8 Days Of Treatment At RSCM, Obesity Man Weighing 200 Kg From Tangerang Dies

JAKARTA - Cipto (45), a obese man weighing 200 kilograms (kg) was declared dead. The resident of Pinang, Tangerang City breathed his last after 8 days of being treated at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) Jakarta.

Cipto's brother, Ristanto, said his younger brother died on Wednesday, July 19, at 03.00 WIB.

"Inaliahiwanalilahi rojiun. Cipto died this morning at 3 o'clock," said Ristanto in a short message, Wednesday, July 19.

Ristanto said that currently his younger brother's body was taken to Tegal, Central Java, for burial.

"Want to be buried in Tegal (Central Java-ed)," he said.

Previously, it was reported that Cipto, a 200 kg obese man from Tangerang City, was referred to the Jakarta RSCM. Cipto was treated at the Tangerang City Hospital for 6 days. However, he was transferred to the RSCM because medical equipment was more complete.

Ristanto said that while being treated at the Tangerang City Hospital, Cipto had health developments. He said his younger brother had lost weight. Cipto is better than before.

"Alhamdulillah, there is, rather than at home, you can't do anything. Now you can move, you can move. This morning I asked a bit better, it's not so sick (his leg)," said Ristanto to reporters at the Tangerang City Hospital, Tuesday, July 11.

Ristanto added that Cipto has problems with the heart due to weight reaching hundreds of kg.

Although the doctor had been treated at the Tangerang City Hospital, Cipto had to be referred to the RSCM. RSCM is the destination because the hospital has adequate tools to handle Cipto.

"Yes, earlier, if the Public Relations Mother (Humas RSUD Tangerang City) said the equipment was lacking, so she had to be referred to the RSCM," he said.
