Kemenparekraf Supports Beautiful Malino As Mainstay Tourism In South Sulawesi

GOWA - Director of Music, Film and Animation of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Mohammad Amin supports Beautiful Malino's activities as a mainstay tour as echoed by the Gowa Regency Government, South Sulawesi.

"We really appreciate this implementation. The Central Government has also taken various steps to recover the economy by creating 4.4 million jobs in 2024, one of which is through activities (events)," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, July 15.

Mohammad Amin said the Beautiful Malino event was included in the 2023 Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) calendar series.

He also admitted that he was amazed by the Beautiful Malino event because its location is in the top area of Malino, Gowa, and its location is not too far from Makassar City.

"With this activity, Malino will be increasingly known not only in Indonesia but also in the world," he said.

Gowa Regent Adnan Purrichta Ichsan said Beautiful Malino's activities were carried out as an effort to improve the community's economy.

"As many as 40 percent of our people live in Gowa but work in Makassar so they spend their money in Makassar. Therefore, we must create a trigger to withdraw this figure back to Gowa. Now, with the return of Beautiful Malino in Gowa, we will return our people to spend their money here, even those outside of 40 percent," he said.

Adnan explained that currently his party is preparing Malino as a leading tourist destination. This is proven by the large number of tourism investments and development entering Tinggimoncong which is targeted for completion in 2024.

"There are five tourist destinations whose construction is now underway and God willing, it will be completed in 2024, namely Cimory Dairyland, Malino Green Hills, Malino Wonderland, Malino Hills and Kampung Europe. This is the way the Gowa Regency Government attracts tourists so that the economy rotates and the welfare of the community is increasingly realized," he said.

He hopes that through Beautiful Malino's activities, which have been included in the Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) 2023, this will be an additional income for regions that will have an impact on improving the economy of the surrounding community.

"Thank you for all of us, hopefully this event will revive our enthusiasm after the three-year pandemic. The theme of ppines is proof of our happiness, even this event is included in the national calendar so that it is no longer owned by the district government but also belongs to the provincial and central governments," said Adin.
