PURWAKARTA - Purwakarta Police revealed a fraud case under the guise of online investment and social gatherings worth Rp. 2.5 billion by a woman.
"This fraud case was carried out by a woman with the initials NR (28)," said Purwakarta Police Chief, AKBP Edwar Zulkarnain, when exposing the disclosure of the case at the Purwakarta Police Headquarters, reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 7.
The fraudster, who is a resident of Plered Subdistrict, Purwakarta, was arrested on Wednesday (28/6), in the Bandung area.
The perpetrator committed fraud to dozens of residents under the guise of investment and online social gatherings. Of the dozens of residents, the perpetrators managed to get Rp2.5 billion in cash.
In carrying out the action, the perpetrators first opened fruit kiosks and grocery stores, selling their merchandise at a cheaper price than other traders. This is done to attract as many customers as possible.
