Papua Prosecutor's Office: The Prosperous Team For The Pursuit Of 27 Convicts Who Entered The DPO, The Most Corruption Cases

PAPUA - Head of the Papua High Prosecutor's Office, Witono, stated that the Papua Prosecutor's (launch) fugitive arrest team continued to pursue 27 convicts who were on the wanted list (DPO). Currently, the names of the convicts who are included in the DPO will be distributed so that the public can report if they know their whereabouts. "It is true that there is a discourse to distribute data on the 27 convicts' most of them are convicts of corruption cases so that they are arrested and serve the sentences that have been handed down to them," said Papua Prosecutor's Office Witono in Jayapura, quoted from Antara, Monday, June 19. Admittedly, the convicts who entered the DPO already had legal provisions. Previously, Saturday night, June 17, the sowing team arrested Viktor Aries Efendy, one of the two convicts in the village fund corruption case in Tolikara Regency worth Rp320 billion. He has been sentenced to 15 years in prison, a fine of Rp. 1 billion and paid a replacement fee of Rp. 128 billion. The convict Viktor was arrested in Sorong and is currently being held in Abepura Prison, Jayapura City.

"Apart from Viktor, there were also other convicts in the same case, namely the former Head of the Village Empowerment Agency (BPMK) Tolikara Piter Wandik but until now his whereabouts are unknown, so the team will try to find out his whereabouts and arrest him to serve the sentence that has been handed down to him," said Witono.
