7 Tons Of Beef Prepared By Bulog For Eid Al-Adha At OKU

BATURAJA - Perum Bulog Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, South Sumatra prepared 7 tons of frozen beef to meet the needs of people celebrating Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijriyah.

Head of OKU Bulog Julkhaidar Romadhon said that the stock of frozen beef can certainly meet the needs of the community who will celebrate this year's Eid al-Adha.

Bulog OKU has prepared as many as 7 tons of frozen beef stored in a special cooling warehouse to store meat to stay fresh.

The existing supplies are to meet the needs of the community in the midst of a surge in beef prices in the market.

The frozen beef that has been packaged is sold in a cheap market for the general public at a price of IDR 95,000 per kilogram.

"So for people who need beef for Eid al-Adha needs, please come to the cheap market at the OKU Bulog Office," he said, Sunday, June 18.

In addition to meat, he said, in the cheap market there are also other basic necessities, ranging from premium rice, cooking oil, sugar and wheat flour which are sold at affordable prices.

"The average basic necessities are sold under the Highest Retail Price (HET) from the government. For the supply, God willing, it will meet the needs of the community," he said.

However, regarding frozen meat, he ensured that there would be no additional stock ahead of Eid al-Adha considering that during last year's celebration, many people received sacrificial meat.

"There is no additional stock because usually many people get sacrificial meat during Eid al-Adha," he said.
