JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Regional Financial Management Agency (BPKD) has promised to pay off the salaries of other individual service providers (PJLP) that have not yet met the provincial minimum wage (UMP) 2023.
Supposedly, PJLP DKI received a wage of IDR 4.9 million per month this year. However, since January until now, they are still being paid IDR 4.6 million.
Head of the DKI Jakarta BPKD's Standards Expenditure Management Unit, Meriani Jasara, said that payment of salary shortages would be paid after discussing changes to the 2023 APBD.
This was revealed by Meriani after being questioned by members of the council at the Commission A meeting of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.
"The BPKD has prepared for the preparation of the revised APBD, later we will adjust it to the 2023 DKI Provincial Government UMP figure, amounting to Rp4.9 million. The 2023 UMP adjustment will be followed up during the 2023 revised APBD phase," said Meriani at the DKI Jakarta DPRD Building, Monday, June 12.
Meriani reasoned that the payment of PJLP salaries within the DKI Provincial Government which did not match the UMP value in 2023 could occur due to technical problems, namely system errors.
"When we prepared the 2023 price standard, at that time there was indeed a new UMP of Rp. 4.9 million. However, at that time there were several obstacles, so for 2023 the figure in the 2022 UMP is still Rp. 4.6 million," he said.

Previously, Commission A of the DKI Jakarta DPRD questioned the ranks of the DKI Provincial Government regarding the issue of paying PJLP salaries that had not been adjusted to the 2023 UMP.
"There is a miss made by ASN. The UMP has reached IDR 4.9 million in 2023, why is the Governor still being offered (disbursement of PJLP salaries) at the 2022 UMP? This is actually a fatal mistake," said Deputy Chairman of Commission A of the DKI DPRD, Inggad Joshua.
According to Inggad, the DKI Regional Budget is still able to pay more than 87 thousand PJLP salaries with a value according to the 2023 UMP. Given, many budget post grants to other agencies or institutions that can be diverted for more urgent purposes such as employee salaries.
"If there are matters related to the issue of spending money on institutions outside of our executives, it must have an impact related to the interests of the people of Jakarta. We must be selective about grants. Our budget is limited," explained Inggad.
