PARIGI MOUTONG - Pemerintah Kabupaten Parigi Moutong, Sulawesi Tengah menetapkan status tanggap darurat bencana banjir yang melanda Kecamatan Balinggi dan Torue pada 29 Mei 2023. "The status of the disaster emergency response will last for 14 days from May 30 to June 12", said Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of the Parigi Moutong Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Amiruddin in Parigi, quoted from Antara, Monday, June 5. He explained that this policy was stated in the Regent's Decree (SK) Number: 362.45/560/BPBD concerning Emergency Status for Flood Disaster Management in Parigi Moutong Regency. As a result of the assessment or rapid assessment by the local BPBD Rapid Response Team (TRC), there were 14 villages in two sub-districts that experienced the impact of the disaster. The incident also caused one death and caused environmental damage to residents and residential areas. "Each technical regional apparatus organization (OPD) intervenes according to its duties and functions. BPBD is tasked with coordinating countermeasures or acting as a coordinator, then the Social Service takes care of logistics distribution and public kitchens, the Health Office conducts health checks on affected residents," he said. In that incident, it was reported that the severely affected area was in Balinggi District. Temporary data from the local BPBD, about 3,555 people or around 1,082 families (KK) were affected. A total of two houses were swept away by the flood, two houses were heavily damaged, five units were lightly damaged, and one house of worship was slightly damaged in Catru Karya Village, including one victim of a resident of Balinggi Jati Village, Balinggi District. "Currently, logistical assistance continues to flow from various parties. We are currently conducting a distribution process for disaster victims," said Amiruddin. He added that currently around 41 people from 12 families, residents of Catur Karya Village, Balinggi District, are still living in refugee camps. "All basic needs of residents in the evacuation are guaranteed by the government, especially foodstuffs," he said.

He added that all costs incurred due to the issuance of this decision were borne by the Parigi Moutong Regional Budget, unexpected expenditures (BTT) of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government, APBN funds ready to use the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), and one other legitimate source of funds.
