JAKARTA - Emirates international airline stated that the operation of the A380 fleet to Bali is an extension of commitment to the growing Indonesian market with increasing demand.

"Initially the operation of the A380 in Indonesia also interpreted the extension of our commitment to the Indonesian market, as well as the proof of stronger cooperation with airport authorities I Gusti Ngurah Rai and local governments," said Senior Vice President Commercial Operations Far East Emirates Orhan Abbas quoted from Antara, Friday.

He also ensured that the arrival of the A380 fleet for the first time to Indonesia was the result of the work of the entire team for months, from the planning stage to the slick execution through coordination with relevant stakeholders.

"We are ready to serve customers who fly from and to Denpasar with the world-class service Emirates A380, as well as respond to high international travel requests by Superjumbo aircraft, (which later) will become one of the two daily services to the island of Bali," Abbas said.

Emirates Country Manager for Indonesia Mohammad Al Attar ensures that the world's largest wide-body aircraft flights can make a significant contribution in serving increased customer demand.

"We are pleased to be able to reach this milestone which will strengthen our operations in Indonesia, as well as future commercial plans for the Indonesian market," said Al Attar.

Meanwhile, President Director of PT Angkasa Pura (AP) I Faik Fahmi is very optimistic that the number of foreign tourist visits visiting Bali will increase, with the presence of the first A380 Emirates Airlines aircraft at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Denpasar.

"Of course, this Emirates flight will increase the chances of more tourists coming to Bali using large A380 aircraft," said Faik.

According to him, the inaugural landing was a historic moment for Bali as well as an important moment for the world of commercial aviation in Indonesia, which is useful for supporting tourism recovery in Indonesia after the COVID-19 pandemic.

"This inaugural flight is a positive thing, because it is in line with the recovery of tourism in Bali, especially and Indonesia in general," said Faik.

Previously, Emirates' flagship A380 aircraft made a new milestone by landing at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali, Denpasar (DPS) on Thursday (1/6) afternoon, for the first time officially to Indonesia.
