Democrats: SBY-Anies-AHY Meeting Followed By Small Team

PACITAN - Deputy Secretary General of the DPP Democratic Party Jansen Sitindaon said the closed meeting between the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) with the Presidential Decree of the Change Coalition for the Anies Baswedan Association and the Chairman of the Democratic Party Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) was followed by a small team.

"Mas Anis is not alone. The small team also participated," Jansen said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 1.

However, he did not explain the details and the results of the meeting.

Jansen also asked all parties to wait patiently.

"We are waiting for the results of the meeting, hopefully there will be a surprise," he continued.

The senior Democrat Party politician also did not explain the people in the small team who accompanied the former Governor of DKI Jakarta.

"This afternoon. What is certain is that Mas Anies (Anies Baswedan) came to Pacitan, met by Pak SBY and AHY," said Jansen.

The meeting between Anies and SBY and AHY in Pacitan is also reportedly in order to strengthen the plan to announce the presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

Anies as the presidential candidate from the Change Coalition is rumored to be announcing his prospective deputy candidate this week or no later than next week.

In addition to meeting SBY and AHY to discuss preparations for the nomination stage for Anies Baswedan in the framework of the Coalition for Change for Unity, the former Chancellor of Paramadina University is scheduled to attend the 4th anniversary of the death of the 6th First Lady of the Republic of Indonesia Ani Yudhoyono in Pacitan, June 1.

Ani Yudhoyono or whose real name is Kristiana Herawati died on June 1, 2019.
