SAR Team Searches For Missing Fishermen In Wuring Maumere Waters

The joint SAR team searched for a fisherman who had a ship accident and disappeared in the waters of Wuring Pulau Besar, Sikka Regency, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

"The joint SAR team is still searching around the scene," said Head of the Maumere Search and Rescue Office, Meianus Bekabel, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 1.

The Maumere Search and Rescue Office received information about the ship accident experienced by a fisherman named La Hannung (67).

The victim lives in Nangahure Village, Sikka Valley.

From the information gathered by the Maumere Search and Rescue office, the victim went to sea Nangahure Wuring to the waters of Pulau Besar on Wednesday (31/5), at 04.00 WITA.

However, the victim has not returned home until Wednesday (31/5), at 16.00 WITA.

Therefore, the victim's family and the community provided information and jointly searched for the victim.

"We are still looking for it until now. Still nil," said Mexianus.

He reminded the public to be careful in their activities and always provide information about events experienced around the environment so that SAR officers can help them.
