MEDAN - President Director of PT Angkasa Pura Aviasi Achmad Rifai said the lift vendor at Kualanamu International Airport in Deli Serdang Regency was summoned following the death of a visitor to Auiah Dewi Hasibuan at the airport.
"The call for a double-sided lift vendor has been sought on Sunday (30/4), but can only be fulfilled today," said Achmad in a statement quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, May 4.
Achmad said the summons was based on a letter from the Directorate of Airport of the Ministry of Transportation in connection with the discovery of the body of a woman under one of the elevators at Kualanamu Airport.
"The inspection of facilities by summoning facility vendors by the PT Angkasa Pura II Corporate Group aims to mitigate and improve aspects of security, safety and service at the airport," he said.
In line with the Letter of the Directorate of Airport of the Ministry of Transportation to all Heads of Airports as the Single Accountable at Airport, PT Angkasa Pura II Company Group conducts checks on all facilities at airports.
Evaluation is carried out on all facilities and involves vendors providing these facilities. Examination is also carried out on elevator facilities.
