PKB Calls No Discussion Of The Great Coalition With Gerindra

JAKARTA - Deputy Secretary General (Wasekjen) of PKB, Syaiful Huda, said that there had never been a discussion regarding the formation of a major coalition both within his party and with the Gerindra Party as a partner in the Greater Indonesia Awakening Coalition (KIR). "From the start, there was no such large coalition. So, the grand coalition has never been (discussed, ed) within the PKB," Huda told reporters, Friday, April 28. "In the internal PKB-Gerindra coalition, there has not been any discussion at all about it," he continued. For information, PKB and Gerindra will hold a meeting this afternoon in Kertanegara, South Jakarta. Huda revealed that the meeting was only to finalize the PKB-Gerindra cooperation. "The main agenda of finalizing KKIR continues, the PKB Gerindra cooperation coalition agenda," said Huda.

Huda also denied that in the near future there will be a meeting between the general chairmen to discuss the formation of a major coalition, especially attended by President Jokowi. According to him, the agenda plan was only an idea from the General Chairperson of PAN Zulkifli Hasan.

"I see that Mr. Zul still wants it, I think Mr. Zul's idea seems to be, because until today there is not. The President has also not submitted a plan for it, Mr. Zul just wants it to be conveyed to the President," said Huda.
