PDIP Prepares For New Political Development After Appointing Ganjar As A Presidential Candidate

JAKARTA - Secretary General of the PDI-P DPP (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that there is a new political band that will move after the PDI-P announces Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate in the 2024 election. "Outside of that, of course, as we say that the political band will move after Mrs. Megawati Soekarnoputri announces the presidential candidate, then various contacts with other political parties are also carried out. We only apologize for not being able to mention it," said Hasto at the PDIP DPP Office, Jakarta, Monday, April 24. For that, his party will also communicate with other political parties. However, he still kept any parties to be explored. He also gave a signal that after Ganjar was officially announced as a candidate for president from PDIP, there would be other parties following declaring his support also to the Governor of Central Java to run in the 2024 presidential election.

"Nanti kita tunggu saja, bahwa minggu-minggu ini akan muncul deklarasi dari parpol lain yang mendukung capres dari PDIP Bapak Ganjar," tuturnya, dikutip Antara.Menurut Hasto, Ketua Umum PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri sendiri sudah menyampaikan pesan kepada Ganjar agar menjadi pemimpin itu harus bijaksana dan baik. Sehingga, ia melihat istana bukan dari sisi terangnya tetapi juga sisi gelap dan tanggung jawabnya bagi kepentingan rakyat, bangsa serta negara."Pesan Bu Mega itu bukan hanya ditujukan kepada Pak Ganjar semata, tetapi juga seluruh kader PDIP, mengingat capres yang merupakan kader dan petugas partai dari PDIP harus didukung sebagai satu kesatuan, kekuatan kolektif PDIP yang menyatu dengan rakyat," imbuh Hasto.
