JAKARTA - The Commander of the TNI Military Police Center, Rear Admiral Edwin, emphasized that he would provide a deterrent effect to the perpetrators of the Kupang GOR commotion on Wednesday night. "Article 170 of the Criminal Code, joint destruction, is deposited in Article 192 of the Criminal Code, destruction of traffic facilities," he said. Then, the soldiers involved in the incident are threatened with being charged with Article 103 of the Military Criminal Code. Based on the Criminal Code, the threat of imprisonment is 7-9 years, while the Military Criminal Code is subject to two years in prison. So far, no soldiers have been named as suspects. However, the TNI's Milter Post Center (Puspom) has examined three soldiers from the Military Police Datasement (Denpom) IX/1 Kupang who at the time of the incident served as a security team in the final futsal match at GOR Oepoi. The TNI Puspom has also asked for information from supporters who attended the match. The investigation process was carried out by the TNI Puspom, Army Puspom (AD) and Pomdam IX/Udayana. Previously, the National Police and TNI Institutions in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara, agreed that the legal process for the perpetrators of fights between TNI personnel and police officers in the jurisdiction of the NTT Police would be processed in their respective institutions. "Later on, the investigation and investigation process will be submitted to each unit, and later each unit will take action and legal processes against its members involved," said NTT Police Chief Inspector General Johanis Asadoma in Kupang, Thursday. He said that it was already a joint agreement to take action against personnel directly involved in the case.
