Apart From Being Prohibited From Bringing Official Cars For Homecoming, ASN Also Cannot Accept Eid Parcels

JAKARTA - Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas issued a number of things that were prohibited to all state civil servants (ASN) during the month of Ramadan until this year's Eid Al-Fitr holiday.

This is stated in the Circular Letter of the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Number 7 of 2023 concerning the Implementation of Discipline and Travel Protocols Outside the Region for State Civil Apparatus Employees During the Period of National Holidays and Joint Leave in 2023.

In this SE, one of the emphasized things by Azwar Anas is that ASN is prohibited from bringing official cars to their hometowns. This prohibition has actually been echoed every homecoming season.

"The circular is intended as a guideline for ASN employees in government agencies to implement policies regarding the implementation of discipline and travel protocols outside the region for ASN employees during the national holiday period and joint leave in 2023," Azwar Anas wrote in the SE quoted on Sunday, April 16.

"Then the PPK is also expected to be able to issue a circular addressed to stakeholders so as not to provide gratuities in any form to ASN employees," he continued.

If any ASN is proven to have violated this provision, PPK can impose disciplinary sanctions in accordance with the provisions of Government Regulation Number 4 of 2021 concerning Civil Servant Discipline and Government Regulation Number 49 of 2018 concerning Management of Government Employees with Work Agreements.
