JAKARTA - Based on the results of the latest national survey from the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI), Joko Widodo's voters in the 2019 presidential election, the majority still chose Ganjar Pranowo as a presidential candidate.

"The Jokowi and Ma'ruf Amin voters tend to have a choice while there are still many to Ganjar Pranowo," said Executive Director of the Indonesian Survey Institute, Djayadi Hanan in a release broadcast via YouTube, Sunday, April 9.

The latest national survey by LSI was issued from March 31 to April 4, 2023. Djayadi revealed that Jokowi's voters who chose Ganjar currently reached 39.3 percent.

From the party side, PDIP voters are also known to have chosen Ganjar as a presidential candidate. The percentage reaches 50.2 percent.

Ganjar also received great support from voters such as PPP (42.9 percent), PKB (32.9 percent), Golkar (25.3 percent), to Democrats (23.8 percent).

The target population of LSI surveys is Indonesian citizens aged 17 years and over or married and have a phone/cellphone, about 83% of the total national population.

The selection of samples is done through the random digit dialing (RDD) method. RDD is a technique of randomly selecting samples through the process of generating telephone numbers.

With the RDD sample technique as many as 1,229 respondents were selected through the process of random phone number generation, validation, and screening. The survey margin of error is estimated to be uh2.9% at the 95% confidence level, a simple random sampling assumption.

Interviews with respondents were conducted by telephone by interviewers who were trained.
