Alternative Road Repairs In Lampung Continue To Be Speeded Ahead Of The 2023 Eid Homecoming Flow

LAMPUNG - The Lampung Provincial Government (Pemprov) said that a number of provincial roads that are alternative routes for Eid Al-Fitr 2023 homecoming are still in the repair stage.

"Here, there are 7 alternative routes that are part of the provincial road and are usually crowded with vehicles when the homecoming flow and the backflow of Lebaran," said Head of the Lampung Province Bina Marga and Construction Agency Febrizal Levi Sukmana in Bandarlampung, Thursday, April 6, as reported by Antara.

He said, of the 7 alternative routes, until now there are still several roads in the repair stage.

"There are several roads on alternative routes that are still under repair. Like the Pringsewu-Kalirejo-Wates section, precisely on Jalan Kalirejo-Bawarejo along the 14,086 kilometers, the safety conditions are only 40.3 percent. And this is still constrained because there are improvements," he said.

Furthermore, other roads whose conditions are below 80 percent and under repair are the Gajah-Simpang Randu City road conditions, 57.89 percent of the road, Bandar Abung- Bandar Sakti Road with a length of 7.957 kilometers, 79.89 percent.

Then the Bandar Sakti-Sipang Daya Murni section with a length of 10.099 kilometers onto the 77.23 percent road, the Murni-Gunung Batin Simpang Daya section with a length of 12.389 kilometers to the 77.39 percent road.

"For these seven alternative routes include the Gayam-Ketapang route, the Korpri-Kibang-Metro intersection route, the Gajah-City Metro-Sijah-Simpang Randu section. Then the Tataan Branti-Gedong route, the Lempasing-Padang Cermin-Kedondong-Gedong Tataan route, the Pringsewu-Kalirejo-Wates route, and finally the Kotabumi-Gunung Murni-Bain intersection," he said.

As for roads whose conditions have been more than 80 percent, namely the Gayam-Ketapang Section with a steady condition of 87.60 percent, the Korpri-Sukapeace Intersection Section 98.04 percent, the Sukapeace-Kibang Section 100 percent stable, Budi Utomo Section 96.62 percent with a steady condition.

"And there is also the Lempasing-Padang Certificate section, the condition is 100 percent, as well as the Padang Cermin-Kedondong section. As for the Tataaan-Kedondong Gedong Road section, it is still 97.6 percent," he said.

He continued for the Gajah City Metro Section to be solid 98.59 percent, the Branti-Gedong Tataan Section 82.59 percent, and the Kotabumi-Badar Abung section with a condition of 89.86 percent of the steady road.

"The improvements on the alternative routes will be made to be completed immediately before Eid homecoming, in order to maintain the comfort of road users," he said.
