Reluctant To Interfer, Mahfud MD Considers The Dismissal Of The Berigjen Endar For Technical Affairs Of The KPK And Polri

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD said that the issue of the status of Brigadier General (Brigjen) of Endar Priantoro Police was technical so that it became a matter for the KPK and the Police.

"Yes, it's up to the KPK and the Police, it's very technical, yes," said Mahfud at the Presidential Palace complex, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 4, which was confiscated by Antara.

Brigadier General Endar Priantoro is a former Director of Investigation of the KPK who was honorably dismissed by Pmeimpin KPK. The dismissal is contained in the letter of the Secretary General of the KPK dated March 31, 2023

The letter from the Secretary General of the KPK was addressed to the National Police regarding Endar Priantoro's re-handling to the Bhayangkara Corps on March 30, 2023.

However, National Police Chief General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo wrote to the KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri again regarding the answer to the return of Polri members to serve in the KPK environment.

The National Police Chief, in the response letter registered with Number: B/2725/IV/KEP./2023 as of April 3, 2023, maintains or assigns Brigadier General Pol. Endar Priantoro as Director of KPK Investigation.

In the reply letter, Listyo Sigit conveyed to the KPK leadership the re-handling of Brigadier General Pol. Endar Priantoro who carried out his assignment as Director of Investigation of the KPK.

Meanwhile, Brigadier General Pol. Endar has reported the Chairman of the KPK, Komjen Pol. Retired. Firli Bahuri to the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas) related to his removal.

Endar admitted that he had received a letter of extension of his assignment at the KPK. However, the KPK leadership decided to continue to remove Endar from his position and return him to the Bhayangkara Corps for no apparent reason.

"This has been extended, but for no apparent reason I also don't know what the considerations are. Later we will examine the considerations of the KPK leadership, the secretary general then issues a decree. We will test it later, both in the Council and in other laws," said Endar.
