JAKARTA - The band from Yogyakarta, Jikustik, released a new album titled "Back 4 Good" after being absent for eight years. The group is back in a formation consisting of Icha (vocalists and bass players), Adit (keyboard players), Dadik (guitarist players), and Carlo ( drum players).

According to a written statement as reported by Antara on Friday, July 21, "Back 4 Good" contains four songs which will be released in stages until October 2023.

"We chose to release gradually because we want the message of every work in this album to be well received," said Jikustik guitarist Ardy Nurdin, who is familiar with Dadik's stage name.

A new version of one of the Jikustic masterpieces, "Puisi", became the first single to be released on Friday with the title "Puisi (2023 Version)".

In "Puisi (2023 Version)", Jikustik carried out a total overhaul in the hope that it could be enjoyed and become a daily friend of Indonesian music lovers from various generations.

"With this new arrangement formulation, Jikustic adapts to the new habits of music lovers in enjoying a musical work, and returns memories for listeners who have grown up with poetry songs since its release 17 years ago," said vocalist and Jikustik bass player Icha Aji.

In addition, with the new musical arrangement presented, the song "Puisi (2023 Version)" is also expected to create new experiences and nuances in enjoying the song. The message in the song is also expected to be fully accepted by Indonesian music lovers.

"In this version, Icha as the vocalist conveys songs in a more relaxed style," said band guitarist Sheila on 7 after listening to the single "Puisi (2023 Version)"

For information, Jikustik is a music group that has existed in the Indonesian music industry for a long time. Standing on February 26, 1996, Jikustik has produced nine albums, in which dozens of his works have succeeded in becoming popular hits.
