JAKARTA - The rock Foo Fighters unit released The Teacher, the last single from their upcoming 11th album But Here We Are.

10 minutes long, it's the longest song Foos has ever recorded, and Dave Grohl started with a simple guitar intro and eventually developed into a massive audio stream.

The song also refers to the deaths of drummer Taylor Hawkins and Mrs. Grohl, Virginia.

Directed by multimedia artist Tony Oursler, the video that accompanies the single is a short film that features an emotional image and home video from Foos.

The director caught Foos' attention through his work with David Bowie - especially his video for Bowie's important single in January 2013 Where Are We Now?

The Teacher himself followed up on the previous single, namely Rescued, Under You, and Show Me How.

The album But Here We Are will be released on June 2 through Roswell Records / Columbia Records.
