The new Ska-punk band was formed by Jesse Michaels and Rancid guitarist Tim Armstrong, the two of them have performed together as part of the band in the 80s of Operation Ivy.
Joey Castillo (Circle Jerks, The Economy) and bassist Spencer Pollard (Trash Talk) were also registered to complete the supergroup and on March 29 they shared Raid's debut single.

Michaels went on to explain why he and Armstrong decided to start the project 33 years after they last worked together on Operation Ivy.

"Once we started writing together, we found that we had the same collaborative energy as we had in the past, so it was natural and fun to keep going."
