JAKARTA Bank Indonesia (BI) reports that based on the results of the latest survey, the Consumer Confidence Index (IKK) in June 2023 is at the level of 127.1.

Head of the BI Communications Department Erwin Haryono said that the figure was still in the optimistic zone because it exceeded the 100 limit.

"Bank Indonesia's consumer survey in June 2023 indicates consumer confidence in economic conditions remains strong," he said in a press release today, Monday, July 10.

According to Erwin, the maintaining of consumer optimism in June 2023 was driven by the strong current Economic Condition Index (IKE) and the Consumer Expectation Index (IEK).

"IKE is maintained, especially supported by the current Income Index, which remains stable compared to the previous month," he said.

The editor noted that the score made last month was lower than in May 2023 which was 128.3. Meanwhile, for the April 2023 period, it is known to be perched at 126.1.

"Meanwhile, IEK remains strong mainly driven by the component of the Income Expectation Index which increased compared to the previous month," he concluded.
