Pelindo Serves Delivery Of 200 Electric Car Units For The ASEAN 2023 Summit In Labuan Bajo

JAKARTA - PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) or Pelindo serves the delivery of 200 units of electric cars that will be used for operations during the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo.

General Manager of Pelindo Labuan Bajo Branch Dimaz Yuliono explained that the Labuan Bajo Multipurpose Terminal in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), which is one of the logistics and goods gateways in Flores, in the past week has been busy with the receipt of various facilities for the ASEAN 2023 Summit, including the receipt of 200 electric cars at the Labuan Bajo Multipurpose Terminal, on Monday, May 1 afternoon.

In addition to electric cars, a few days earlier, the Multipurpose Terminal also served the ship's docking process carrying a number of equipment and security facilities belonging to the Indonesian Navy and the police which were prepared to secure the 2023 ASEAN Labuan Bajo Summit.

"Indeed, it has been a week before the implementation of the 2023 ASEAN Labuan Bajo Summit, our port has served the delivery of a number of facilities to support such as 200 electric cars and security equipment. Of course we provide the best service we provide as a form of commitment in the support of the ASEAN 2023 Summit," said Dimaz in a statement in Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Wednesday, May 3.

Dimaz added that in addition to supporting in terms of port services, in terms of Pelindo facilities, a number of supporting infrastructures have also been prepared, one of which is the field for the accumulation of goods and tugboats for loading and unloading and docking activities.

"We also have tugboat services that will be on standby to serve port operations, especially during the ASEAN 2023 Summit," said Dimaz.

The ASEAN 2023 Summit will be held in Labuan Bajo on May 9-11 with the theme ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth and followed by 10 ASEAN members.

In this event, the government invites all parties to participate in the success of the international conference.
