Google Chat Presents Automated Translation Features For Workspace Users

JAKARTA - Google Chat is now rolling out its automatic translation feature, one of the most anticipated innovations by users. With this feature, users can automatically detect and translate more than 120 languages into their selected language.

Messages in foreign languages will be translated by default, and users can select the original View option to view messages in the original language. The Google Translate icon will be displayed on translated messages, and the original will be recorded online.

This feature is available to users on web, Android, and iOS. To enable it, users simply open Settings > Automatic Translation > Translate messages to your preferred language. Some important notes related to this feature:

The increase in the @Mentions Feature In addition to the translation feature, Google Chat also updates the design of @mentions. Now, it looks like smart chips like those used in Google Drive to provide a more uniform appearance in the Workspace application.
