Appearing With Live Band At Lollapalooza 2023, NewJeans Make Fans Amazed
JAKARTA - NewJeans made history again as the first K-Pop girl group to appear in Lollapalooza at Grant Park, Chicago on Thursday, August 3.
Kim Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Kang Haerin and Hyein performed 12 songs on the big stage which were crowded with spectators.
In the comments column on social media and YouTube, many netizens think that NewJeans have achieved something big even though they have only celebrated one year of emergence on July 20.
"I didn't expect them to have appeared on the big stage even though it was only a year of debut. In fact, I felt something big when I saw them for the first time," wrote a netizen, viewed on Sunday, August 6.
NewJenas opened his appearance at Lollapalooza 2023 by performing the song Hype Boy which was their debut song, which was followed by Cookie.
Furthermore, Sequentially NewJeans performed the songs Hurt, Attention, Ditto and OMG. The six initial songs they performed were accompanied by live bands with different arrangements from the original version.
Given the need for maturity for K-Pop groups to appear together with live bands, netizens also expressed their admiration for the group under the auspices of ADOR. A netizen even admitted that he was surprised by the new arrangement that was presented.
"They don't look like newcomers anymore, their stage performances are very good," wrote one netizen.

NewJeans' appearance at Lollapalooza 2023 did not stop there. They went backstage to prepare for the second session, which was not accompanied by the band.
NewJeans also performed his newest songs from the latest EP, Get Up. Sequentially, they performed New Jeans, Super Shy, ETA, Cool With You and ASAP, complete with the coreo.
Before completely leaving the stage, the members thanked the fans and hoped to return to appear at the upcoming Lollapalooza.
"Thank you, see you on another occasion," said Danielle while leaving the stage.
