TNI And KPK Puspom Find Documents Related To Alleged Bribery While Searching The Basarnas Office

JAKARTA - The POM TNI and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) investigating team searched the National SAR Agency (Basarnas) office. During the activity, evidence was found related to the alleged bribery in the procurement of equipment that ensnared the Head of Basarnas, Vice Marshal Henri Alfiandi.

"We found and secured various documents that are suspected of having links to the case (suspected bribery)," said Head of the KPK News Section, Ali Fikri in a written statement to reporters, Friday, August 4.

Investigators will then analyze the findings of the document. Confiscation will also be carried out.

"In the future, the KPK Investigative Team will continue to coordinate with the TNI Puspom investigation team to collaborate in collecting evidence," Ali explained.

As previously reported, the anti-corruption commission only uncovered the alleged bribery in the procurement of goods and services at Basarnas through a hand arrest operation (OTT) on Tuesday, July 25. From this active action, the KPK announced five people as suspects.

The five suspects are Kabasarnas Marshal Henri Alfiandi and Koorsmin Kabasarnas Lt. Col. Afri Budi Cahyanto as suspects for receiving bribes. Meanwhile, as the giver is the President Commissioner of PT Multi Grafika Cipta Sejati, Mulsunadi Gunawan (MG), President Director of PT Intertekno Grafika Sejati Marilya and President Director of PT Kindah Abadi Utama Roni Aidil.

However, the investigation of this case had a polemic because the KPK was considered to have exceeded the authority of the TNI. Because Henri and Afri are still active members.

The KPK also apologized and confirmed that it would only investigate three suspects from the private sector. Meanwhile, Henri and Afri were worked on by POM TNI and have now been thrown into custody.

In this case, Henri is said to have received a fee referred to as a command fund of Rp. 88.3 billion from the private sector from 2021-2023. This acceptance was made through Afri as his subordinate.
