3 Kg Gas Fire Deadly Incident At Parit Padang Babel Gas Station, 1 Person Dies

One of the three victims of a three kilogram LPG gas kitchen fire at Parit Padang Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU), Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province, died.The victim is known as Sendi (25). So far, Sendi has been treated at a local public hospital.Director of the Depati Bahrin Sungailiat Hospital, Bangka, Dr. Yogi Yamani, said that 46 percent of the victims who suffered burns to their bodies died at around 03.00 WIB in the morning."Before being declared dead, Sendi had undergone several debirdement and estronomy operations to dispose of a dead tissue that could be a source of infection and so that his skin could regenerate," explained Yogi in Sungailiat, quoted from Antara, Thursday, August 3.Meanwhile, two other victims, Wisnu (36), a resident of Parit 7 Sungailiat District, Bangka Regency, and AWP (17) a high school student in Sungailiat are still undergoing medical treatment.The LPG gas kitchen fire incident occurred on Saturday, July 22 at around 18.00 WIB, allegedly a three-kilogram LPG gas leak.As a result of the incident, the Bangka Police Opsnal team secured a number of evidences for the further investigation process in the form of a gas stove, a three-kilogram green LPG gas cylinder and a regulator along with a hose.
Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bangka Police, AKP Rene Zhakara, said that until now the case of the Parit Padang Public Fuel Filling Station (SPBU) was still under investigation."The case is still in the investigation stage by asking for information from a number of witnesses," he said.
