Tips For Maintaining Optimistic Performance For Electric Motorcycles: Avoid These Habits

JAKARTA - Electrically powered two-wheeled vehicles have become a popular choice for everyday mobility. The advantages of efficiency and practicality make electric motorcycles a favorite among the public. However, in order to keep its performance optimal, there are several habits that should be avoided.

Maintenance and use of electric motorcycles have important differences with conventional gasoline-fueled vehicles. Ignoring these crucial factors can affect the performance and age of electric motorcycle batteries.

PT Ilectra Motor Group (Alva Motor) Chief Marketing Officer, Putu Yudha, explained that carrying overload while using an electric motorcycle can damage the performance of the vehicle. Heavy load will require motors to emit greater power, which in turn can affect battery age.

"The greater the burden of motorists or passengers, the greater the supply of energy for motorbikes," Yudha explained.

Electricity on motorbikes comes from batteries flowing towards the dynamo system. When heavy weight is applied, the motor must work harder, which has an impact on battery life.

"This excessive burden will also affect the lifetime of the battery as well," he added.

Yudha also suggested checking the condition of the battery's State of Health (SOH) regularly. If the SOH rate decreases below 70 percent, it is necessary to check and even replace the battery.

"It is important to replace batteries if SOH shows a figure below 70%, so that the performance of electric motorcycles remains optimal," added Yudha.

Maintaining the performance of electric motors is not only about reducing excessive burdens, but also involves periodic maintenance and replacement of the necessary components. With the right attention, electric motorcycles will continue to provide maximum performance in their daily journey.
