The Perpetrator Of Car Damage At The Bogor Stadium Was Arrested, Here's The Motive

The police revealed the motive for the violence and car vandalism at the west gate of Pakansari Stadium, Cibinong, Bogor Regency on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the perpetrator with the initials YP (42) has now been secured by the Bogor Police Criminal Investigation Unit.

Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio Wahyu Anggoro revealed that the incident began when the perpetrators received an invitation to race cars by victims KC (24) and GAP (24) in a conversation on WhatsApp.

"Which of the perpetrators and the victim are friends with each other, but from the victim's statement it is only a joke for grub chat," he said in his statement, Tuesday, August 1.

Then on Monday, July 24 at around 23.00 WIB, they met at the scene. The perpetrators also had time to leave the location to buy alcoholic beverages.

At around 02.30 WIB the following day, the perpetrator returned to the location and immediately crashed into the car belonging to the victim GAP.

"Then the perpetrator got out of his car angry and hit the victim, after that the perpetrator pushed his vehicle back and hit his car back into the victim KC's car," explained Rio.

Had left the location, 30 minutes later the perpetrator came back with a sharp machete.

The frightened victim fled immediately and the perpetrator continued to damage the glass of the victim's second car using the car.

After the incident, Bogor Police Chief AKBP Rio immediately ordered his staff to pursue and secure the perpetrators. Meanwhile, as a result of the incident, the victim suffered a material loss of Rp. 105 million.

The perpetrators were also subject to Article 406 of the Criminal Code and 170 of the Criminal Code which carries a maximum prison sentence of 5 years and 6 months. From the results of the examination, Rio said that the incident was due to a miss communication between the perpetrator and the victim.

"And the influence of alcohol is often a problem, trigger, and creates causes resulting from the crime rate in Bogor Regency," he said.
