Ternate Prosecutor's Office Examines 4 Health Office Officials Related To The Corruption Case Of Vaccination Funds
TERNATE - The Special Crime Investigation Team of the Ternate District Attorney's Office, North Maluku, examined four local health office officials as witnesses in the alleged corruption case of COVID-19 vaccination funds in 2021-2022 worth Rp22 billion.
"Today there is an examination of witnesses and clarification of cases of alleged corruption in the vaccination budget at the Ternate City Health Office and according to reports there are four people. Two were examined as witnesses and two people were asked for clarification on the BAP," said Head of the Intelligence Section of the Ternate Kejari Aan Syaeful Anwar as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 31.
The COVID-19 vaccination budget in Ternate City in 2021-2022 is allocated around IDR 22 billion, but the realized amount is approximately IDR 15 billion.
Aan said that in handling this case, investigators had raised their status to the investigation stage and all parties related to this case would be summoned.
Four Ternate City Health Office officials underwent examination, namely AS as Director of Ternate City Hospital, F (former treasurer), HH (Head of Public Health Division), and PPTK officials were summoned for clarification.
The examination of the four witnesses at the Ternate District Attorney's office was completed at around 18.21 WITA.

Chairman of Commission II of the Ternate City DPRD Anas U. Malik stated that the DPRD continues to provide support for law enforcement and the completion of cases of alleged corruption in funds for handling COVID-19 at the Ternate City Health Office.
He hopes that anyone who is proven to have committed a criminal act of corruption must be prosecuted so that there is a deterrent effect.
In handling this case, the prosecutor's investigators previously also examined a number of Ternate City Government officials, including Head of Health Nurbaity Radjabesi and former Head of BPBD M. Arief Gani.
