Buddhists Participate In Tantrayana Apihoma Ceremony In Borobudur

MAGELANG - About a thousand Buddhists of the Indonesian Buddha Satya Tantrayana Council and the Tantrayana Council Zhenfo Zong Kasokatan Indonesia attended the 2023 Apihoma Tantrayana Zhenfozong Borobudur ceremony.

Chairman of the Committee for the 2023 Apihomic Ceremony Tantrayana Zhenfozong Borobudur, Yusuf Sumartha in Magelang, Saturday, said this activity was a ritual of sincerity of the hearts of the people presented to holy creatures through the fire medium.

"This grand ceremony carries a typical Tantrayana ritual, which is to provide offerings through the fire media (apihoma)," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Sabu, July 29.

The ceremony was led by four Orang Tarakya or mahabiksu facing four corners with a salutable adinata, namely Buddha Sakyamuni.

He said that at the Apihoma ceremony he prayed that the Republic of Indonesia would be kept away from all forms of disaster, the people would always be safe, prosperous and prosperous.
