Anti-Flag Political Punk Band Suddenly Disbanded, This Is Their Official Explanation

JAKARTA - Anti-Flag released a statement regarding the split of the political punk band without any explanation.

Last week (20 July), the band disbanded and deleted all their official social media accounts and websites.

The news came suddenly and unexpectedly. There is no explanation or reason behind the decision to dissolve it.

Now, Anti-Flag are taking to Patreon to share their farewell announcements.

The anti-Flag has been disbanded. Patreon has been transferred to a mode that no longer charges monthly fees, the statement reads.

On Wednesday, both the band consisting of Pat Thetic, Chris #2 Barker and Chris Head and vocalist Justin Sane, aka Justin Geever, released two statements regarding the decision to disband.

Brooklyn Vegan reports that allegations of sexual harassment against an unnamed singer believed by many to be the Anti-Flag frontman was the main cause of the band's disbandment.

However, Geever denied the accusations against him by calling the allegations "completely false" and saying that Anti-Flag was disbanded because "in a state like this it is impossible to continue."

In another news, Anti-Flag's latest album, Lies They Tell Our Children (2023) reached Number Six on the German Album Charter. Germany was also the location for the band's last show on June 24.

They were scheduled to start their North American tour later this year but were later canceled.
