Acting Regent Of Bogor Monitors 8 Residents Trapped In Banyumas Mining Location
BOGOR - Acting Regent of Bogor Iwan Setiawan monitors the development of evacuation efforts of eight residents trapped in the people's gold mine pit, Pancurendang Village, Banyumas Regency, Central Java.
"I am still monitoring. The latest information from the Joint SAR Team is still trying to evacuate because the terrain is quite difficult," said Iwan as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 26.
He admitted that he had been intensely monitoring from Bogor since receiving information about his citizens who were gold miners who were trapped on Tuesday (25/7) night.
Iwan explained, of the eight miners, seven of them are residents of Sukajaya District and one is a resident of Nanggung District.
"We wish the best, hopefully the SAR team on duty will be given convenience and safety so that everyone can be safe," said Iwan.
Previously, the Head of the Cilacap SAR office, Adah Sudarsa, explained that the joint SAR team coordinated by the Cilacap SAR office carried out evacuation efforts against eight miners.
"Eight miners have reportedly been trapped in the mine pit since Tuesday (25/7), 23.00 WIB, because suddenly water came inundating the mining area," he explained.

Based on the data, the eight trapped miners consisted of Cecep Suriyana (29), Rama Abd Rohman (38), Ajat (29), Mad Kholis (32), Marmumin (32), Muhidin (44), Jumadi (33), and Mulyadi (40) and all of them came from Bogor Regency, West Java.
SAR dispatched a rescue team from the Cilacap SAR Office Basarnas and an auxiliary team from the Banyumas SAR Alert Unit to the scene with various aid equipment such as diving equipment, gas detectors, and other supporting equipment.
"We have deployed a team from the Cilacap SAR Office and the SAR Alert Unit for search and rescue operations to save miners trapped underground," said Adah.
