Police Members Involved In TIP, Kabareskrim: Strict Action Must Be Taken
The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police, Komjen Wahyu Widada, confirmed that he would take action against members of the National Police involved in the Case of Trafficking in Persons (TPPO). Strict sanctions will be given immediately.
"We convey that there should not be any members of anyone who involve themselves in the criminal act of trafficking in persons," Wahyu said in his statement quoted on Saturday, July 22.
Strict action and witnesses against naughty members of the National Police are of course in accordance with applicable legal rules. This step is taken as a deterrent effect so that there are no more naughty elements.
"So that similar incidents will not happen again in the future," he said.
On the other hand, Wahyu appreciated all his staff who had carried out activities to uncover TIP cases. Moreover, the results of hard work yield proud results.
"The results are only in one month and less, but the results are quite extraordinary," he said.
One of the members of the National Police involved in the TIP case was Aipda M. He is one of 12 suspects in the Cambodian network TIP case who sold human organs and is said to have received hundreds of money from the syndicate.
"The person concerned received Rp612 million," said Director of General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Hengki Haryadi.
Aipda M received the money by lying to the suspects. He admitted that he could discuss it so that the handling of the case would not be processed.

In addition, from a series of examination processes, Aipda M was also involved in the obstruction of the investigation. Because, he ordered the perpetrators to change places so as not to be arrested.
"Aipda M, these are members who try to prevent, obstruct, either directly or indirectly the investigation process carried out by the joint team, namely by ordering them to throw away cellphones, moving places, the point is to avoid pursuit from the police," said Hengki.
